What kind of adhesive is best for silicone materials?
19 Dec 2025
Silicone and silicone materials are generally bonded using room-temperature bonding or heat-curing processes. Three types of adhesives are available: room-temperature fast-drying, room-temperature slow-drying, and KL-301AB.
Room-temperature fast-drying adhesives are characterized by their speed, fast curing time, strong adhesion, and low foaming and whitening properties, but they are not waterproof or heat-resistant.
Room-temperature slow-drying adhesives are characterized by their slower curing time, allowing for a longer working time. After curing, the adhesive exhibits excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, waterproofing, sealing, and environmental friendliness (suitable for medical applications), but the curing speed is very slow.
KL-301AB is a two-component adhesive that cures rapidly with heat. After curing, it forms a silicone elastomer, achieving environmental protection, sealing, and high and low temperature resistance. It is specifically used for self-adhesion and mutual adhesion of silicone materials, silicone strips, and silicone tubes.
