Silicone to metal bonding
Silicone adhesive to ferrous metals
2. Silicone High-Temperature Adhesive to Metal
CL-24B:
Material: This product is widely used for hot-vulcanizing unmolded silicone rubber with metals (e.g., silicone to iron, silicone to carbon steel, silicone to stainless steel, silicone to aluminum, silicone to copper, silicone to nickel, etc.) and other hard metals in molds.
Features: 1. Excellent bonding performance for a variety of silicone rubber compounds, including those requiring or not requiring a second-stage cure. 2. Single-component, single-coat process, simplifying processing. 3. CL-24B-bonded parts are resistant to water, salt spray, chemicals, grease, solvents, and other harsh environments. Features: 1. Color: Light yellow, transparent liquid 2. Specific Gravity: 0.9 3. Solvent: Mixed solvents Shelf Life: 6 months in unopened container (10°C)
Flexible positioning time: Depending on the formulation, the positioning time can range from 5 minutes to 2 hours to meet diverse needs.
III. Operation Recommendations
First, perform surface preparation. Sand and degrease the material to be bonded. Then, apply the adhesive evenly to the treated surface.
Let it dry at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, then bake at 130°C for 10 minutes.
Finally, place the adhesive and liquid silicone into the molding press for compression molding. (Note: Nylon Bakelite requires baking at 110-130°C for 5-10 minutes.)
