I first cleaned the broken silicone strap with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. Then I squeezed a small amount of 460 instant adhesive onto the broken end of the silicone strap and applied it to the other end. It cured in about seven seconds, with strong adhesion and almost no odor. He said it was perfect, indistinguishable from the original.
In addition to its advantages of low whitening and resistance to brittleness after curing, this 460 instant adhesive also offers a highly customizable feature: the curing time can be customized, allowing you to set it to cure in as few seconds as you desire, with a range of 3 to 45 seconds.
Slow-drying adhesives are also an option, but I find 460 instant adhesive to be a good choice for broken silicone straps; slow-drying adhesives are too slow.
