How to deal with residual screen printing glue?
05 Dec 2025
To remove residual screen printing adhesive, the following clear and targeted methods can be used:
Using alcohol:
Pour alcohol onto a clean cloth.
Gently wipe the remaining adhesive until it is completely removed.
Note: Alcohol is a chemical substance; ensure good ventilation and avoid direct skin contact when using it.
Using diluted solution:
Mix diluted solution with water.
Spray the solution onto the residue using a sprayer.
Then wipe with a cloth.
Note: Ensure the diluted solution is properly proportioned; avoid using too much.
Using screen printing adhesive cleaner: Screen printing adhesive cleaner is a chemical preparation specifically designed to remove adhesive.
Before use, please be sure to read the instructions on the cleaner's label.
Pour the cleaner onto a clean cloth and then wipe and clean the remaining adhesive.
Finally, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Using release adhesive:
Apply an appropriate amount of release adhesive to the residue.
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Gently scrape off the glue using a fine-toothed comb or a pointed scraper.
Finally, thoroughly rinse any residue with clean water.
Use screen printing glue remover: Screen printing glue remover is a chemical agent specifically designed to remove screen printing glue.
Pour the remover onto a clean cloth.
Wipe and clean the area where the screen printing glue remains.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Other methods: If the above methods are not applicable, you can consider using other cleaning agents, such as nail polish remover (because nail polish remover contains acetone, which can dissolve resin and glue) or floral water (floral water's ingredients can soften the glue, causing it to dissolve and remove quickly).
Precautions:
When using any chemical agent, always follow the safety guidelines on the product instructions.
Ensure good ventilation and avoid direct skin contact with the chemical agent.
If the chemical agent is accidentally splashed onto the skin, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.
Avoid pouring the cleaning solution into groundwater or discharging it into sewers to avoid environmental pollution.
