Addition silicone is AB glue, also known as two-component addition silicone and RTV-2 silicone. Addition liquid silicone consists of silicone and curing agent; the two components are mixed in a 1:1 ratio, and it is a silicone that has passed FDA food grade certification. The main component of the curing agent in component B is platinum catalyst.
The operation method of addition silicone is also very simple. Mix components A and B evenly by weight in a ratio of 1:1, and pour after vacuum degassing. 30 minutes of operation time at room temperature (28 degrees), 2-3 hours of complete curing; heating 60-120 degrees, it can be completely cured within tens of minutes. Therefore, the curing of addition silicone can be heated or not.
Generally, customers heat and cure mainly to increase production efficiency. The faster the silicone cures, the higher the customer's output will be. Because the curing conditions of addition silicone are greatly affected by temperature, the higher the temperature, the faster the curing. This depends on the activity of the platinum catalyst, which is greatly affected by temperature. The higher the temperature, the more active the platinum catalyst is, which can accelerate the rapid combination and curing of the silicone AB components.
Room temperature curing allows addition silicone to react normally at a suitable temperature, making the molecular weight of silicone more tightly bound, so that the cured silicone has much better toughness and strength. The surface effect of addition silicone cured by heating is also very good, and a very dry effect can be achieved.
