Dissolve Silicone or Remove Glue? Pick the Right Debonder in 3 Minutes

10 Jul 2026

What's the difference between your two debonders?
CL-T03 (Silicone Dissolving Type) – breaks down silicone rubber itself. It degrades both cured and uncured silicone elastomers into an oily paste, making it easy to remove silicone layers from metal, glass, or ceramic surfaces
CL-T02 (Adhesive Removing Type) – dissolves the glue that bonds silicone to other materials. It's specifically formulated to remove cyanoacrylate adhesives (like 401, 502, 416, 458, 603 instant glues)
In short, Choose CL-T03 if you need to dissolve silicone itself, choose CL-T02 if you need to remove glue overflow or separate glued parts.

What can CL-T03 be used for?
CL-T03 is ideal for
• Reworking defective silicone-over-metal parts – remove failed silicone coatings without damaging the metal
• Cleaning silicone residue from molds, tools, and equipment
• Separating silicone-bonded glass or ceramic parts-
• Removing silicone adhesive from stainless steel, copper, alloys, and other metals-
It leaves metal surfaces bright and non-corroded after cleaning.

What can CL-T02 be used for?
CL-T02 is designed for
• Removing overflow glue from instant adhesive applications
• Eliminating whitening marks caused by cyanoacrylate adhesives
• Separating parts that were accidentally glued together
• Cleaning up adhesive residue on silicone, plastic, and glass surfaces

How do I use them?
For CL-T03 (silicone dissolving)
1. Prepare
Wear protective gloves and mask. Slowly open the cap to release built-up gas and avoid splashing.
2. Soak
Immerse the part in CL-T03. Thin silicone layers dissolve in ~15 minutes; thicker layers may need 2-3 hours.
3. Remove
Use a tool to scrape off the softened silicone.
4. Clean
Rinse the surface with the debonder or conventional solvent, then air dry.

For CL-T02 (glue removal)
• Apply a few drops onto the excess glue or whitening marks
• Wait 5–10 seconds for it to penetrate and dissolve the adhesive
• Wipe away the softened glue with a clean cloth

 Will they damage my parts?
CL-T03 is safe for most metals (copper, alloys, stainless steel), glass, and ceramics – it leaves metal surfaces bright with no corrosion. However, CL-T03 can dissolve ABS engineering plastics. Always check that your workpiece contains no ABS parts, or confirm that dissolving the ABS won't cause losses.
CL-T02 may affect some substrates. We strongly recommend testing on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.

What safety precautions should I take?
• Ventilation – keep the work area well-ventilated
• Protection – wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles. If the liquid contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15–20 minutes and seek medical attention if discomfort persists
• No water – never add water to the debonder, as it will inhibit performance and may cause chemical reactions
• No mixing – do not mix with other cleaning agents
• Sealed storage – the product is volatile; keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry place. Store used and unused product separately
• Shelf life – unopened product stored at 20–25°C away from light and heat has a usable life of 6 months
